Operating Systems

Server: Manjaro-i3 latest

Client: Manjaro-i3 latest both of them.

Barrier Version

2.1.2 same in all of them.

Steps to reproduce bug

To keep it simple

  1. Open xfce4-terminal
  2. Open another xfce4-terminal
  3. Open Chromium
  4. On any of those windows, on the server machine hit Alt+shift+q and it closes immediately.
  5. Repeat steps in to 3 on any of the client machines.
  6. Hit alt-shift-q window doesn't close, hit the same combo again and it closes.
  7. Similar bug happens with alt-shift-r (reload i3 config), sometimes it doesn't detect the shift and produces an alt-r which is a resize in i3.

Other info

  • When did the problem start to occur? From the very first day I installed Barrier.
  • Is there a way to work around it? No. Just press again.
  • Does this bug prevent you from using Barrier entirely? No, but it's frustrating.

Put anything else you can think of here.

I see in the debug window on the client "found key in group 0" whether it has taken the missing key or ignored it.

EDIT: Please also add a donate button in the README.md of this repo. I'll happily contribute monetarily to keep this project alive.

This is something I'd have to talk over with the main dev, who sadly is usually very busy.

Though a way to help besides money, is if anyone could go through all the issues that have piled up and try to reproduce them. It's something that I just don't have time for.
