Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/issues/850

Operating Systems

Server: Windows 10 19041.450
Client: Windows 10 19041.450

Barrier Version

2.3.3

Steps to reproduce bug

  1. Use PowerToys (https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys) Keyboard Manager to remap the Caps Lock Key on the client PC
  2. Press Caps Lock on the Server PC
  3. Expect the remap action to fire--instead Caps Lock toggles

Other info

  • When did the problem start to occur? Since at least 2.3.2
  • Is there a way to work around it? No
  • Does this bug prevent you from using Barrier entirely? No

This might be an issue with the Caps Lock codes being used by barrier, or the codes being watched by PowerToys. I'm filing an issue in both places in case there's some collaboration that can happen!

Seems like this is the same issue as https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/issues/366
