Operating Systems

Server: 5.6.11-1-MANJARO
Client1: Windows 10 v1909 (VM running on server)
Client2: old Mac Mini running High Sierra (10.13.6)

Barrier Version

Manjaro: 2.3.2-1
Win10: 2.3.2
MacOS: 2.3.2

Steps to reproduce bug

Part 1

  1. Start server on Manjaro, and allowed all traffic in/out on port 24800
  2. Start Windows VM
  3. Connect from Windows VM using IP - 192.168.122.X
  4. Works
  5. Connect from Mac Mini using IP - 192.168.1.X
  6. Log is spitting out connection refused on Mac OS
  7. Renamed Mac to "macmini" and manually added screen called "macmini" to Barrier
  8. Connection still refused
  9. Attempted shuffling screens around, and rebooting everything and trying again. No dice.

Part 2
10. Switched to SNAP package instead of AUR (SNAP v2.3.2-13-g9080ce45)
11. Windows VM client works, Mac OS does not.
12. Now Mac says it Timed out in logs, but my mouse cursor starts going crazy if I move it over from my Linux server over to the Windows client while I have the Mac client attempting to connect to the server. By going crazy, I mean control is delayed and it appears to be jumping back and forth between 2 locations on my screen while also drifting.

Other info

  • When did the problem start to occur? During initial setup
  • Is there a way to work around it? No
  • Does this bug prevent you from using Barrier entirely? Yes

Put anything else you can think of here.
Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, especially since the VM connected just fine.
Also, is it possible to split screens up in Barrier? Specifically, to have my left and right monitors be running Linux and the center monitor be Windows.

I disabled Drag and Drop, and now it is working.
