Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/issues/649

Operating Systems

Server: macOS 10.14.6 (18G3020)

Client: Windows 10 - 64bit, 1909

Barrier Version

2.3.1-snapshot 58d8f0

Steps to reproduce bug

  1. Run macOS app
  2. successfully running as server - all things good
  3. close macOS GUI (red "x" icon)
  4. app icon in dock has no "running blob / dot" and cannot re-open GUI without killing barrier processes.

Other info

Can work around by killing bg processes.

@plessbd commented on GitHub (May 4, 2020):

@simons-public has a build posted from the #648 pull request that changes how the app bundle is packaged and uses recent versions of Qt and OpenSSL if you want to try it, I do not experience this issue.

Sorry I didnt read that fully. When closing the gui like that it shows up in the menu bar at the top right and can be shown from there.
