Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/issues/381

Operating Systems

Server: Nixos 19.03
Client: Windows OS 8.1 (Version 6.3 Build 9600)

Barrier Version

2.3.0 (windows)
2.3.0 (linux flatpak version)

had the same Issue with 2.1.0 version without flatpak

Steps to reproduce bug

  1. start Ark Survival Evolved
  2. Press and hold e on a building
  3. Move the curser over the "demolish" area

Expected: the background of this area starts to fill with yellow background color and when that is full (after 5 seconds or so) I could press it and use this action.

What happens: it stays growed out.

Other actions would happen immidietly without a timer but it does not register that the cursor is in that area.

I tried with and without relative mouse movement.

I am 99% sure that bug existed also in synergy, so it's not very new bug.

@spiderbit commented on GitHub (Jul 31, 2019):

ok I found a easier Testcase (without 50gb game download):
https://sourceforge.net/projects/radialm/files/

If you try radialm 1.9 from that link install and run it.

Then press Super/windows key + hold right mouse, you see

  1. over barrier:
for a milisecond 2 3 options but then only the red x in the middle.
  2. with mouse connected directly
a menu with 10 options comes up.

So this tool does not work as intended over synergy with my configuration.

This software on the other hand seem to work:
http://radialmenu.weebly.com/

For Linux a good test case would probably be
http://simmesimme.github.io/gnome-pie.html

but it's hard to get that installed in Nixos
