Operating Systems
Server: Windows 10 v1803 (build 17134.765)
Client: macOS Mojave 10.14.4
Barrier Version
2.1.0 on mac, 2.2.0 on windows
Steps to reproduce bug
I installed Barrier today, and have been using it between my Mac and Windows. Everything was fine, and it's awesome! But, after a while I tried to go to the right edge of my Mac's screen to get to my Windows machine, and my mouse cursor neither disappeared from my Mac, nor appeared on Windows.
I thought "Huh... Something's messed up. Let's try killing Barrier and restarting it." This got the cursor back to my PC, but even after multiple restarts I couldn't get it back to my Mac. The logs on both show the client connecting to the server just fine. I tried drag-and-dropping my Mac's screen to the trash and recreating it, I tried putting it to the right of my Windows machine's screen instead of to the left, nothing seems to help.
I setup CTRL-SHIFT-F1 and CTRL-SHIFT-F2 as hotkeys to switch to my mac and switch, which works as a workaround, but I'm curious to know how I made this stop working. :)
@noisyshape commented on GitHub (Jun 1, 2019):
Did you enable scroll lock? Have you tried turning the Mac off and on again?
@jwalton commented on GitHub (Jun 1, 2019):
Oh, it was scroll lock! I was about to come back and say my problem had mysteriously fixed itself, but now that you said that, I noticed I'd somehow accidentally turned on scroll lock last night and turned it off, so not so mysterious. :)
Are there any other "default" hotkeys?
@noisyshape commented on GitHub (Jun 1, 2019):
No, there aren't. We really need a manual.
