Operating Systems

Server: macOS 10.13.6

Client: macOS 10.13.6

Barrier Version

2.1.0 Release

Steps to reproduce bug

  1. move mouse in small slow circle on host - see that it is a circle.
  2. repeat the motion but with the cursor on the client - see that it is a square.

Other info

  • Host is Retina, client is not.
  • It's hard to click small elements on client, I'm not actually drawing circles all day.
  • It doesn't occur in Teleport, which I'm trying to replace as it's abandoned.

Maybe a better illustration:

Check out my crazy freehand straight line skills, but utter inability to draw a circle:

This might be the same thing from upstream: https://github.com/symless/synergy-core/issues/5648

There's a patch at the bottom of the thread. FYI

Thanks for the bug report.

The fact that symless don't apply known good patches does not amaze me. It very well might be fixed by the patch that you reference.

I will try to test this change soon.

I am having a similar issue on Linux. I have both a 4K monitor and a normal dpi monitor. Could that be the issue?
