What happened?
Both machines are macos: host iMac, client Macbook pro
The bluetooth Mouse connected to the host works fine but the usb keyboard on the host cannot not work on the client.
Watched the logs, but no relevant message (simply no log for keyboard).

I'm also not able to get barrier (2.4.0) to working with two macs. I am able to get the client connected, but I'm not able to move the mouse over to the client. I have USB keyboard and mouse connected on the host.
Host: Mac mini 10.14.6
Client: Macbook pro 11.6.4
Edit: I'm not for sure what I did exactly, but it started working for me now. I toggled (disabling and enabling again) the Accessibility setting in System Preferences.
