What happened?
I'm finding that my mouse is frequently popping into the other device when I don't want it to, when I'm near the edge of the primary screen. I need an option for either a hotkey combo to explicitly force a switch to the other device, or some kind of timer so that I need to hold the cursor on the edge for 2+ seconds before it switches. These accidental switches are very annoying.

Second this. This would be quite good as a toggle feature, as additionally if you have network instabilities it would be good to be able to manually regain control of your input devices on the server. A means of escape key at the very least.
@cidus commented on GitHub (Jan 23, 2023):
You can make a hotkey that sends your input back to the server. That's the only way I use actually, I use a hotkey to toggle between the screens.
In advance server settings you can set a waiting time or double tap for switching also.
