Ive seen the comments on other threads and tried granting access in different ways, re-installing and etc.. but still am having the issue and can't open the app.

Still haven't fixed the issue but there's a duplicate in issue https://github.com/keycastr/keycastr/issues/160

This fix worked for me:
when i installed mine and granted access under the "Accessibility" menu it still didnt work but by going into "Input Monitoring" it worked. Here is a quick gif showing what i did:
