I'm pleased to share that the app works on OS X 10.10 beta 3. The Accessibility privacy permission was a little confusing and a lot of manual work though.
However, the "Default" visualizer does not show up. The alternate one "Svelte" does show up.
@mauris commented on GitHub (Sep 29, 2014):
Also, the visualizer only showed up on the main screen. If a window goes full screen the visualizer stops showing up.

@mauris, https://github.com/RichardBronosky/keycastr#tips may help you using on multi screens.

@lqez commented on GitHub (Nov 5, 2014):
@mauris, I'm currently using default visualizer on Yosemite (10.10, not DP) and it works well.
Could you test it again, please?
@mauris commented on GitHub (Nov 5, 2014):
I just redownloaded the latest version to perform a reinstall (since the update said it failed).
I noticed that on the Default visualiser settings, Bezel Width and Font Size was set all the way to tiny. So I increased those two values and found something appearing on the bottom left of the screen.
Seems like a positioning / width bug.
@mauris commented on GitHub (Nov 5, 2014):
The option to assign to all desktops as mentioned in #1 was also not available in the dock.
@paulirish commented on GitHub (Jan 20, 2015):
@mauris i experienced this for a while. Fixed similarly to you, bump up the fontsize like crazy.. it appears at the edge of the screen, then drag it to elsewhere on the screen.
@aaronshaf commented on GitHub (May 8, 2015):
I had to crank up the font and bezel as well and then drag it.
@phanimahesh commented on GitHub (Jun 22, 2015):
Can confirm both the issue and the workaround.
@akitchen commented on GitHub (Jul 12, 2015):
This is happening because of a bad default frame in that build of keycastr.
This is fixed on master, new version coming soon
@akitchen commented on GitHub (Jul 12, 2015):
This is similar to #19
