Describe the bug
I am using two languages in my PC. English and Greek. Unfortunately when i change to Greek on the client and start typing, it automatically changes back to English and types English letters. Also, if the server is in Greek language, i cannot type anything in any language on the client. I am allowed to type Greek only on the Server.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Set the language on the Server to English
  2. Go on the client to any field you can type (browser, text editor, search bar on your computer)
  3. Change the language to Greek (not sure if the language must not contain Latin characters for this to be reproduced. Greek is a tested option)
  4. Start typing
  5. You will notice that the language has been reverted to English again

Expected behavior
User should be able to write in the preferred language despite the server language.

Specs for Server:

  • OS: Windows 10 64 bit
  • Barrier version 2.3.3
  • Laptop

Specs for Client

  • OS: Windows 10 64 bit
  • Barrier version 2.3.3
  • Desktop

Notes
The client pc does not have any mouse and keyboard connected to it because it uses the server's

In my case:

  • English on the server = Only english is possible on the client (switching to another language switches back to english automatically)
  • Different language on the server = questions marks typed out in client, regardless of keyboard layout selected

(Server is windows 8.1, client is windows 10)

I can confirm the same behavior. Is this worked on?

Please try Deskflow or Input Leap as Barrier is no longer in development.

https://github.com/deskflow/deskflow
https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap

Both are compatible with Barrier client/server so you can try on one of your computers.

If this is still an issue in those projects, we would appreciate a cross-post of this issue.

Not sure which to use? The 'Insights' tab of each project may help you decide.
