Hi, amazing project you guys have made. I'm a little curious though. How can I make sure this can't be exploited to keylog or steal my passwords etc. Are there any ports I can block on my router to prevent this?

If you do not trust it, you will also do not trust anyone tell you that is safe.
The best way is to review the code yourself, it is opensource, and all modifications were recorded by git.

And another way to provide an element of trust is for the caretakers of the project to submit the app to Apple so they can test it and give a thumbs up/down for the macOS version of barrier. Currently, if a potential user's organization does not allow unsigned and/or uncertified applications to be installed on their equipment, then this application cannot be installed as-is. There is a workaround, but in this scenario, I think you want to know that Apple has run a security check on the application.
