Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/issues/122

Operating Systems

Server: macOS 10.13 High Sierra
Client: Windows 10

Barrier Version

2.1.0

Steps to reproduce bug

  1. Enable screensaver sync and screensaver timer on the Mac
  2. Work normally on the Windows screen (client) but don't move the mouse back to the server.
  3. When screensaver timer runs out, screensaver engages on the Mac as if you weren't using the machine.

Other info

I can live with it if I disable the screensaver or set it to a very long time (obviously). I made an Automation Service to start the screensaver and set it to a hotkey, and it syncs properly with the Windows side.

I never used Barrier (nor Synergy) on a Mac server before, so I don't know if it's an old bug or if there are any workarounds.

Can another Mac user confirm this behavior?
