As I was setting up barrier on 2 mac computers, I decided to change the names by which my computers are known on the network. So I changed the names of both computers. But then as I tried to continue setting up barrier I noticed that it kept asking me to add the previous names. So I restarted both computers. But barrier still asked for the old names. So I tried to remove barrier from both computers. For example, I deleted barrier app and removed the barrier folder within the ...Application Support folder. But barrier still asked for the old names. Clearly, I did not uninstall barrier properly. Yet, I can find no instructions for how to uninstall barrier.
In the Barrier log I saw:
INFO: zeroconf client detected: tmb.fritz.box
I also saw a dialog saying "Please add the server (mba.fritz.box) to the grid.
note: tmb and mba are the "old computer names"
The only way I could get barrier to work was by reverting to the old computer names

I have the same problem. Is there any configuration file saved somewhere?

Hi,
I had problems with Barrier (conflicts with Logi Options) too and wanted to uninstall it properly. Since Barrier was a fork from Synergy, you can mostly follow removing the barrier related files from same directories which contain files/folders for Synergy.

Instead of Symless / Synergy just search for barrier in those directories and remove them all. It should ideally remove it properly.
