The bug
Something happened that the win/super key is no longer being captured by Barrier. Neither pressing it alone, nor pressing it combined with other keys.

I'm not sure, but I believe that after the last update of Windows 10, or something else may have affected Barrier that is no longer able to capture the Win / super key.

I set the log level to highest debug level and I could see all the other keys being captured correctly, but no combination with the Win / super key is captured anymore, neither it alone.

Last week I remember it working, and the windows update on my machine happened this week. So I really believe it is related to the update. I didn't install anything (only the automatic windows update), nor did I change any settings.

Desktop:

  • OS: Windows 10 Pro / Version 1909 / SO Compilation 18363.1316
  • Barrier version: 2.3.3-release-3395cca9

The Windows updates I found here were:

There are many other updates that have occurred for Microsoft Office as well, but there would be too many to list.

I have no idea what it is, but I found that this problem with winkey only occurs on a single USB port. I changed my usb and now it's working.
