This may be really difficult, but it would be an absolutely fantastic feature.

It would be nice to move windows from one computer display to the other at will. This effectively gives you twice the display real estate, and twice the CPU power of a single computer. It would allow an almost completely integrated multi-OS system. Even between two computers with the same OS it would be very beneficial.

I use Barrier to run two computers with an extra monitor attached to one or the other. It seems that the extra monitor is on the "wrong" computer a lot of the time, because one of my computers is my laptop, which I have set up as the master, but it moves from one setup to the other daily, and one of the setups is often used without the laptop, and so has the extra monitor with it. On the other, I have to replug and unplug the laptop from the display when I hook things up. It would be nice to skip that step. I'd like the extra monitor to switch to the master without changing monitor connections.

The barrier software makes my life a lot better, by allowing me to use a tablet computer in the tablet mode, and not having to rearrange my laptop to be in tablet mode. It makes teaching online school a lot better. Thanks for the useful setup!

I don't think this would be easy to implement... if not impossible.

Not only because it being well outside the scope of Barrier's goals, but also, I suspect the windowing toolkits of each OS are unlikely to play ball with the feature you suggest.

I was afraid of that. :-)

Indeed, this is technically impossible.
