Operating Systems

Server: Windows 10 1809

Client: Manjaro Linux x86_64 Kernel: 5.4.30-1-MANJARO

Barrier Version

2.3.2

Steps to reproduce bug

On Windows change Keyboard Layout to Ru
Go to Linux
Try to type something
No characters are typed. You can use only mouse and spacebar.
Frustrating

Other info

Is there a way to work around it? Yes, you can... To "Fix" that you need to go back to Windows and change Keyboard Layout to Eng, then on Linux client you can use any Layout you want.
Does this bug prevent you from using Barrier entirely? No
This problem has been here for ages (in Synergy too)
When Linux was server - no problem like this happened

Server: Ubuntu 20.04 x64
Client: Windows 10 Version 1909 OS Build 18363.836

Barrier

Ubuntu - 2.3.2 Snap
Windows - 2.3.2 Snapshot

Steps to reproduce bug

On Server change Keyboard Layout to MM
Go to Client
Try to type something
No characters are typed. You can use only mouse and space-bar
also when Client at Change MM Keyboard
type at output is eng only

Has the same problem with Ukrainian KB layout on Windows Barrier server. Fixed in pull request https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/pull/910
