Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/issues/581

Operating Systems

Server: macOS Catalina 10.15.3

Client: Windows 10 1909

Barrier Version

2.3.2

Steps to reproduce bug

  1. Copy an image (say, from Chrome) on the Windows client.
  2. Try to paste the image in macOS.

Other info

The incoming image should probably be converted to tiff/png. I ended up writing a Swift service which polls the clipboard and convert any com.microsoft.bmp items into tiff and copy them back, which is far from ideal.

BTW, is it possible to (at least have a option to) compress the image when transferred over the network? This quickly become troublesome when any of the clients is on 2.4GHz WiFi.
