Just run the following in the terminal
sudo apt update && sudo apt install barrier@fisadev commented on GitHub (Mar 16, 2024):
@shouryacoded Ubuntu 20.04 doesn't have Barrier 2.4.0 in the repos, it has 2.3.2.
@Flimm commented on GitHub (Aug 5, 2025):
Note that barrier is available in the Ubuntu APT repos, as well as in the Snap repositories and in the Flathub collection. These are packaged by members of the respective communities. So, there are three different ways to install Barrier on Ubuntu:
@nbolton commented on GitHub (Aug 5, 2025):
Try Deskflow or Input Leap, as Barrier is no longer in development.

https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap
The 'Insights' tab of each GitHub project may help you decide which one to use.
Both are compatible with Barrier client/server, so you can try on one of your computers.
