What happened?

Wanted to use barrier on arch linux (Kernel: 6.4.3-zen1-2-zen (64-bit)) as server and on windows 11 as client.

Installed on both devices 2.4.0 but it didn't work. Even switched between server and client multiple times.

Uninstalled version 2.4.0 on my windows machine and installed 2.3.3 now with windows as server and linux as client it works. The other way as i wanted still doesn't work.
I suspect its because the SSL fingerprint is missing in 2.4.0 and i don't know how to activate it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks in advance!

@clethbridgedaniel commented on GitHub (Sep 5, 2023):

I just encountered this problem with a fresh install on windows 10 (client) and arch (endeavourOS) (server) myself. I had to uncheck "enable SSL" on both computers. I also am using release 2.4.0 like you.

On my linux server I also needed to open port 24800 manually;
On windows I added firewall exceptions as noted here: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier/wiki/Adding-Barrier-to-the-Windows-Firewall
