What happened?
I downloaded v 2.4.0 of Barrier to my Mac, but when I went to install it, it was blocked because of potential malware in the app. Is it safe and if so what do I need to do to install it on my Mac on 10.15 OS Catalina

I can not comment on the safety of using Barrier, but this issue can be worked around by granting an exception in Settings -> Privacy & Security, scroll down and click on "Open Anyway" for the Barrier entry.

If anyone needs to allow Barrier in Big Sur it is found under Security & Privacy>General
