What happened?

When opening barrier, immediately greeted with the system message "Barrier quiet unexpectedly"

Barrier worked fine in the past, ended up having to wipe and restore the mac from a time machine backup, and now it no longer works. Tried via brew and the dmg download and both have the same issue
