What happened?

I've installed barrier both on my Linux and Windows PCs. On Linux, I've installed release 2.3.4; on Windows, I've installed 2.4.

The barrier app on the Linux system failed to start. It was stuck on start to be precise.

I've unchecked Enable SSL option through Settings but for the same result.

Then I realized I'm running different releases of the app on the two systems, then I downgraded the windows Barrier app to 2.3.4 and it worked.

On Linux, I installed it through Pacman. On windows, I downloaded the executable from Github
