Client: Linux Mint 18.2

Steps to reproduce bug

Start the server
Start the client
The client cannot connect

Other info

Today barrier is showing this error on startup and the client cannot connect:

[2018-10-09T15:23:33] ERROR: could not get entry for parent process
[2018-10-09T15:23:33] ERROR: cannot determine if process was launched as service

[2018-10-09T15:23:33] NOTE: started server (IPv4), waiting for clients
