What happened?
My setup is:
Server: Macbook Pro M1 (2020) 13inch (connected to Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad)
Client: Macbook Pro M1 Pro (2021) 14inch
The scroll speed on the client mac seems to be too fast compared to that on server mac.

Are the Mouse/Trackpad "System Settings" scrolling speeds set to the same on both Macs??? I don't have a Trackpad so can't check to see if it has "Scrolling Speed" option or not. Good luck...

@rraallvv commented on GitHub (Jul 8, 2024):
I'm experiencing the same problem where the scroll speed on the client side is excessively fast. In my situation, the client only uses a standard optical mouse and lacks a trackpad. Conversely, the server is equipped with a trackpad but no mouse. Therefore, I can't apply identical settings to both systems, as the same configuration interface isn't accessible on each.
Server: Macbook Pro Mid-2015 / Monterey (12.7.5)
Client: Mac Pro 2013 / Monterey (12.7.5)

Same issue here, using
Source is mac m1 using Mac OS 15.5 Sequoia (24F74)
Destination is windows 11 connected directly via lan for minimum latency.
Scroll is at least 3x compared to my mac(browsing web is basic example). Everything else works perfectly.

Please try Deskflow or Input Leap as Barrier is no longer in development.
https://github.com/deskflow/deskflow
https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap
Both are compatible with Barrier client/server so you can try on one of your computers.
If this is still an issue in those projects, we would appreciate a cross-post of this issue.
Not sure which to use? The 'Insights' tab of each project may help you decide.

@nbolton commented on GitHub (Jun 12, 2025):
