What happened?

Copy from Windows to Mac returns Chinese characters
Server in the middle : Windows 10
Below laptop : Macbook pro

When I select/copy a text from anywhere in Windows 10 and paste it into Message in MacOS it returns Chinese characters.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Copy any text in Windows 10
Move cursor to MacOS
Open the Messages app
Paste the text
You get chinese characters

Expected behavior
Get normal text.

I uninstalled 2.4.0 and removed all the program files on each system. I tried again using 2.3.4, didn't work. Then on 2.3.3. Also didn't work. I'm not entirely sure what to do.
Steps to repeat

copy any text from windows 10
paste text into text box in Messages app on Mac
see chinese characters
worth noting that pasting images works fine

Suspected unicode issue.

What kind of debug information of the paste buffer data and metadata is available for Barrier? It'd be nice to see what it sees on each node, when it sees it in the paste buffer.
