Describe the bug

Recently, an issue started where the preferences pane for the app opens frequently. It's a bit intermittent, so sometimes it happens without a preceding event I notice, but there is one case that seems to make it pop up every time - when using the app Rectangle Pro, I have a keyboard shortcut to reorganize window panes, and whenever activating that, the monitorcontrol preferences pane opens.

Steps to reproduce

when using the app Rectangle Pro, I have a keyboard shortcut to reorganize window panes, and whenever activating that, the monitorcontrol preferences pane opens.

Expected behavior

Nothing

Anything else?

No response

Hmm. This is certainly new. :) Not sure why that would happen. Maybe the app binary is launched again (re-launch causes Preferences to open) or maybe the Settings keyboard shortcut is somehow invoked (that should require the menu to be open though).

Yeah, I figured this was a weird one. Just a moment ago I had another occurrence from a different cause - maybe this can help narrow it down lol

I run my MB Pro in clamshell 90% of the time with 2 LG displays. Just now, I opened my MB screen because I'm doing some intensive exports. When I opened it, one of my desktops slid over and the MonitorControl pane opened.

Maybe the preferences keyboard shortcut (command+,) triggers it?
