I have an issue where controlling my 3 external displays sometimes causes 1 to temporary blank. It's always the same one. It happens when I try to adjust the brightness. However it seems that with the latest update, (4.3.3) it also crashes MonitorControl. I've included a crash log as reported by macOS.
@zahidcakici commented on GitHub (Jan 28, 2026):
Any updates on that? I have same issue with my Samsung monitor connected via Type-C. Every time changing brightness causes temporary blank, monitor disconnects and then connects.
@waydabber commented on GitHub (Feb 9, 2026):
Hi @zahidcakici - this might be a connection or monitor firmware issue.
@Bouke - are you using custom color profiles? That might cause a "blank screen" issue (no disconnect, etc like @zahidcakici) - the solution is either to use the factory color profile (or create a color profile that does not trigger the ColorSync blank screen bug in macOS) or use "Avoid gamma table manipulation" for all displays in MonitorControl.

(note: the crash should be the same as this: https://github.com/MonitorControl/MonitorControl/issues/1648)
