Environment Information (please complete the following information)
@waydabber commented on GitHub (May 1, 2022):
I am afraid the Apple LED Cinema Display does not allow volume control via DDC. It should have a built-in USB control though but that support might have been removed from recent macOS versions.
@koolyang commented on GitHub (May 19, 2022):
这个版本使用时会把自带的系统音量控制按钮禁用,所以现在使用起来只能通过其他软件自带的音量控制器调整音量;但在很久之前我用的一个版本是可以控制音量的,更新后就不行了。
@waydabber commented on GitHub (May 24, 2022):
Translation: When this version is used, the built-in system volume control button will be disabled, so now you can only adjust the volume through the volume controller that comes with other software; but a version I used a long time ago can control the volume, after the update Not anymore.

So the question is what do you mean by a version used long time ago. Apple LED Cinema Displays had native support back in the day in macOS but this was removed. I think this is what causes the problem.
