Current behavior ("Lower Contrast After Brightness")
As I press the "lower brightness" key, the brightness lowers in smooth increments until the second to last step. As I press the key once more, the brightness stays the same but the contrast drops drastically, which has the impression of lowering the brightness more.
Desired behavior
As I press the key, the brightness lowers. Eventually, when I get to ~3-5 steps remaining, the monitor is at its minimum brightness. As I press the key the last few times, it smoothly decreases the contrast each time until it hits the same very low-contrast/dark point.
